THE BOX OF CATS INITIATIVE
Ladies and gentlemen may we welcome you to the future! We are very proud to present to you the new Box of Cats Initiative!
What is that you may ask? Well the Box of Cats Initiative is our very own way of boosting the music industry from the ground level. We have created a new subsciption system to directly support artists while at the same time building on what is already a great platform for established, new and emerging artists. How this works is by giving incentives to people signing but, giving them all our music for free already at the basic pack!
Through our new system, we will be the first record label of its kind to create a platform that creates a new revenue stream for artists ontop of their usual sales based Beatport & Spotfiy royalties.
This is a ‘For the Artists, by the artists’
WHY SIGN UP?
HOW DOES IT WORK?
WHAT HAPPENS TO OUR MONEY?
Music royalties are something that seem to be decreasing faster than we can even put music out. We want our community to be industry leaders in creating a platform where fans are directly supporting artists and getting something genuine for it. This gives the music they are releasing an increased value.
Initiates pay monthly instalments. The money is divided 50/50 with the artists and label after costs are covered. Each month’s income will be divided up between the releases of that specific month. What this does is creates a fair system where all artists will be making money whether their tracks are doing well on Spotify/Beatport etc or not.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE LABELS SHARE OF MONEY?
WHAT ARE THE LABELS COSTS?
Box of Cats want to put every penny we earn back into creating new experiences for our subscribers. Maybe this is a Box of Cats event in Los Angeles or an exclusive remix from a huge artist that we can now afford to bring on board. (eg. We pay walker n Royce to do a remix thats only avail on the subscription service).
We keep all our costings to very bare minimum and they are all approved by artists before they are spent. This is typically only Pr, Mastering & Artwork/Visuals.
